Camp NaNoWriMo - July 2018

Since, it’s the last day in June and I’m working really hard on procrastinating, I thought I’d make a post about the July Camp NaNoWriMo.

I know everyone is dying to know what I'm going to be working on this July.

Well. I’m going for the final push - as in, I’m gonna finish draft 6 of my book.

See I did the calculation on how much I have left to rewrite, and it’s about 55,000 words (give or take and heaven forbid I decide to add a scene or something) and yes, that goal includes cutting 15-20k words from the previous draft.

And this draft is gonna amp up the bloodshed, the emotions and of course I’m gonna torment poor little Kalina as much as I possibly can (because you know, that’s always my goal in life.)

So, somewhere between reading, cutting and reworking scenes I’m planning to come up with a draft that's under below 130,000 words. Also, it’s field season which means I’ll probably be popping in and out of motels (maybe?) and the apartment search is starting to gear up. So yeah...

I’m gonna be stress bucket by the end of the month - hopefully a stress bucket with a shiny new draft. But my desk is clean and I'm preparing myself for exhaustion and drinking too much coffee. So let's do this thing!

Is anyone else doing camp nano this July? Feel free to add me on there - my username is: calepka

Let me know what your plans are and we can cheer each other (or crack the whip, whatever works).
