Release Date: May 9, 2019

When her father goes to prison for crimes against the country, Logan Cole loses everything: her family, her fortune, her future, and her home.

She wants her father to get out of jail and set it all right, but his legal troubles mount. Under a barrage of vicious online threats, she heads for the Canadian border and stops in the smallest cozy town she can find. It's the perfect place to be anonymous.

But this isn’t the high society she once knew. The only job she can find is at the local bar. And she’s never worked a day in her life.

Lucky for Logan, the town has simple taste, and she makes a name for herself as a hard worker who masters the world of cocktails and brings the town to a new way of drinking. When a tragic accident threatens the bar, Logan has to choose between revealing her true identity to save it or saying goodbye to the only thing she’s ever built on her own in order to save herself.

(blurb as found on goodreads)

This was a great story about finding yourself and making something for yourself. I wasn’t sure about Logan at first, honestly, she seemed very naive, but over time she grew on me. And with her iron-will and determination, it was easy to cheer for her. She was starting out with pretty much nothing and doing her best to make it work.

The writing in this book is very easy to read and get lost in, and I sure appreciated that. I think I read it in two days! But it was just the kind of pick me up that I needed. It’s also refreshing to read a book that has a little bit smaller stakes (haha, I realize this is a symptom of me always reading world-saving sci fi/fantasy). But that's not to downplay how integral the stakes were to Logan. It was very clear what she wanted and what she stood to lose by going that route! Because I really think that that's one the book's real strengths. But most of all, I loved Logan's character arc, so well done!

I’m not sure who I’d recommend this too, cause it’s a little out of my usual reading preferences, but I’ll say if you’re looking for kind of book that’ll make you cheer for a character and really want them to succeed, check this one out.
